What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you however this does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Intellectual Property and licensing for material supplied to us by vendors, guests, other parties.
We operate a recording platform where we offer local businesses/venues the opportunity to advertise themselves, completely free of charge. We also allow guests to provide audio/video feedback.
You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in the content which you submit, post or display on or through our “recording platform”.
By submitting, posting or displaying the Content you give Stay In Kintyre a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through our recording platform.
In layman’s terms, once the business/venue/user has submitted content, we will use this on our website, social media and other platforms, to advertise our services, their services and the general Kintyre region as a destination.
Once this is done, we can’t delete it as there’s always a copy somewhere on the Internet, this is why it is worldwide, perpetual and irrevocable.
It’s your content, you retain copyright, but you freely give us license to use it. It’s non-exclusive to us so you remain free to use that material yourself or let others do so, it’s royalty-free as you are not charging us anything for the use of that material. You are giving us permission to edit and modify and this is normally done to increased quality or clarity. We also need to be able to post to different platforms, so you give us permission to “distribute” and they all require some modification to make it work.
If you have any issues, please seek independent legal advice or ignore the offer.
