Highly recommend this excellent place to stay. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast was the best we've ever tasted and plenty of it. We couldn't have been any better looked after.

Amazing as always. !! A warm welcome from start to finish from John the owner. The rooms were very spacious & immaculately clean. The breakfast was perfectly cooked each day the best B&B we’ve stayed in so far in the wee toon 10/10

This B&B is conveniently located for an easy walk to Campbeltown’s distilleries and restaurants. There is ample parking out back. As for the accommodations, host John has thought of everything. You’ll want for nothing. The shared guest bathroom wasn’t an issue for us as it was only my son and I who were guests. It’s my understanding unrelated guests aren’t booked at the same time. I realize mattresses are highly subject to personal preference, but for us the mattresses were far too soft. My only other quibble was the WiFi was weak in the bedroom (it was plenty strong in the common room).

An absolutely brilliant stay at a magnificent and beautiful Victorian house . It is traditionally styled - but with every mod con you could think of. From the warm welcome by our hosts John and Dave (and, of course, Gino, the friendly and very well behaved dog) to the beautiful suite and incredibly generous and well cooked breakfast we could not find any fault with this gorgeous B&B. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and provided lots of information and help with what to do and see on the Kintyre. Our room (actually a massive suite with a lovely, comfortable guest lounge and private garden) was spotless and very tastefully decorated with incredible attention to detail. Even the bedlinen was of exceptional quality! They provide complimentary tea, coffee, soft drinks, fresh fruit and snacks in both the lounge and bedrooms. To top it all off, the home-cooked breakfast in the morning was fabulous with a great range of items and they catered for all tastes and dietary requirements. We also had a guided tour of John's beehives (complete with protective white suits!) which we both found absolutely fascinating. Gowanlea Heights is the best B&B that we have stayed in Scotland - and, most certainly, the best value-for-money. We'd like to take this opportunity to Thank John and David for their exceptional hospitality and warn them that we will be back!!
